Welcome to the website of the Department of Educational Sciences and Social Work.

Thank you for your interest in studying in the Department of Educational Sciences and Social Work at the University of Patras under the Erasmus+ Program. The University of Patras (UPatras) regularly welcomes Erasmus+ exchange students each year and has many Erasmus agreements with Universities throughout Europe in the areas of Education and Social Work.

The Department of Educational Sciences and Social Work was established in April 2019 following the merger of the Department of Educational Sciences and Social Work of the University of Patras and the Department of Social Work of the Technological Education Institute of Western Greece. The new Department offers a rich curriculum with two distinct tracks: Elementary Education and Social Work.

To take part in the Erasmus+ Program at UPatras, you need to first contact the Departmental Erasmus coordinator at your home institution to express your interest. You can only study under the Erasmus+ Program if your home University has an Erasmus agreement in place with us.

The Erasmus+ program aims at enhancing the quality and reinforcing the European dimension of higher education as well as at increasing student and staff mobility. It enriches students’ lives not only in the academic field, but also in the acquisition of intercultural skills and self-reliance. Staff exchanges are also of significant benefit, both for the individuals participating and for the institutions involved.
